Discuss the Structure of ‘Refugee Boy' by Benjamin Zephaniah

Refugee Boy can be described as story with regards to a 14-year-old boy named Alem Kelo born in The african continent. Benjamin Zephaniah uses Alem as an example of how badly treated refugees will be and how it will be easy for us to take care of them better if we handle them like normal people. In the beginning in the novel Alem's father had taken him to London so that Alem thought would be a holiday. Leaving his mother at your home, his daddy actually organized to keep Alem working in london believing this to be safer. In the beginning from the novel Zephaniah uses two passages, one particular named Ethiopia and the additional named Eritrea. These pathways are practically exactly the same and this shows use that, because Alem's friends and family are a blend both Ethiopian and Eritrean, they would always be hunted wherever they go or perhaps move to. This also lets us know that most political refugees emigrate because of very perfect reasons; in this case, war. Refugees happen to be constantly seen and cured as outsiders instead of usual people, that they can are. Zephaniah shows this very well if he describes how Alem was required to go through the screening process process. Alem is carefully humiliated through the entire screening knowing that both Pamela and Sheila were observing. Another example of how Zephaniah shows work with really how bad our discrimination of refugees is usually and how the stereotypical sights we have received due promozione such as media television programmes, is when Alem's daddy goes to the Home Office to make his asylum application but is arrested and taken to Campsfield detention centre. Even though he is a ‘foreigner' law enforcement automatically considered to arrest him. The children's' home that Alem stays on in, is portrayed as being a sort of dropping ground pertaining to mis-fit asile. It is fundamentally a place exactly where isolated unhappy boys head to when they include nowhere otherwise to go. The whole place is stuffed with young kids and teenagers with messy up thoughts. Sweeny is a superb example of a man in the house who has a lot of extra emotion and clearly feels...
