Ethnic diversity can be people of varying origins and methods of life living or operating alongside in a specific place or firm. Cultural diversity is important to all organizations for most reasons. By having a strong, diverse workforce, limitations to production and creativity can be broken. A ethnical diverse workforce can let everyone enjoy the opportunity of being an integral part of creating business value. Likewise, cultural range is important, because it can manage relationships therefore there is better satisfaction between employees which helps produce better organization. However , the diversity schooling that Donna Malone and her acquaintances participated in was not even close to creating any value.

The university could have had even more two-way communication with the speakers and also allow the audience be involved in some make fun of cases. The speakers in the university were merely giving informative messages and time did not permit any discussion between them and their audience. Physical exercises and cases could have trained them the kind of impact that negative work environment diversity just like discrimination, stereotyping and sexual harassment could cause. The university or college could have as well showed the correct policies and procedures to have in place to combat right after in cultural background and knowledge. The university or college concentrated mainly on " changing labor force demographics and the failure with the university to get more wide open, accommodative, and responsive to group students, staff, or potential employees" (Nkomo 32). There are numerous issues that the university would have covered just like age, male or female, sexual harassment, religion, incapacity and others to make the five white-colored attendees less intimidated with the seminar. The training program would have opened the idea of these other selection issues to generate their training course more effective and fewer hostile for the small quantity of white people in the audience.
