Erikson's Stages of Development, Concerning the Great Santini The Great Santini is about a father who may be a great preliminary in the army. He uses his army training to aid him certainly be a father; treating his kids like employees. He has a supportive better half, and four children, including Ben, the oldest. He instructions his kids and they must obey his every instructions. Ben provides a hard time coping with his father and his need for acceptance. Ben is unable to develop trust along with his father, causing an unhealthy individuality.
